The City Hall hours are 8:00 am - 12:00pm & 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

  • DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS

The City of Bronte requires deposits for the following services:

     Residential (Owners)     $ 75.00

     Residential (Renter)      $ 100.00

     Commercial                 $ 125.00

Deposit is due in full at time of request for services.

If customer has more than one service connection, a deposit if required for each service connection.

  • REFUNDS OF DEPOSIT

Refunds of deposits shall be made upon the termination of service only after payment of all indebtedness. Application of the deposit may be made in partial or total settlement of accounts when service is disconnected for nonpayment of the bill.

  • WATER RATES

A minimum charge of $19.50 shall be charged with the maximum allowance of 3,000 gallons.

The next 9,000 gallons shall be $1.50 per thousand gallons.

The next 13,000 gallons shall be $1.75 per thousand.

And all over 25,000 shall be $2.00 per thousand gallons.

  • BILLING AND DUE DATES

Meters are read about the 20th of each month. The City's billing cycle is from the 21st of one month thru the 20th of the next month.

  • PENALTIES

A 10% penalty will be added on the 11th if the bill is not paid by 5:00 pm on the 10th.

Disconnect Notices are sent about the 16th of the month. Water service will be disconnected (cutoff) if payment is not received by close of business the 26th of the month.

  • DISCONNECTION FOR NONPAYMENT

In the event bills for service are not paid by close of business the 26th of the month (or the first business day following should the 26th fall on the weekend or a legal holiday), service will be disconnected (cutoff). The customer will need to pay a $25.00 service charge plus the past due bill in full to get service reconnected.

Customers are NOT to reconnect the water service themselves. If a customer is found to be doing this without paying the bill a charge of $50.00 will be charged for illegal use.

  • OTHER FEES

Temporary Disconnections of Service $10.00

Reconnection of Service - If water is diconnected for Nonpayment of a bill then the reconnection fee is $25.00 during business office hours and $50.00 if reconnected after hours.

Charge for broken Cutoff in meter box $100.00 (if customer responsible).
